Lincoln County Raceway Entrance


Lincoln County Raceway is located on the Newell Highway about 2km North of Brocklehurst.  Upon leaving Brocklehurst toward Gilgandra, you will enter the 110km/h speed zone, on your left, you will see a large truck rest parking area and the entrance to the track is only just past the exit to this parking area.

Once in the entrance spectator parking is located to the right and the entrance to the competitor's pit area is to the right.

Spectator Parking Area


The spectator parking area at Lincoln County Raceway is located to the right once inside the main entrance to the facility.  The spectator area is large enough to accommodate a mass of vehicles regardless of the size or amount of the vehicles.

The spectator parking area gives spectators easy access to the track facilities such as the canteen, amenities and the main straight viewing area.

Spectator Area – Main Straight


Along the main straight you will end the main spectator area.  The area gives a great view of the final corner, the outgrid and the main straight.  Spectators can also make their way to the other side of the tower and will get a great view of the first corner, usually here all the action is.

Included in this area is the only undercover spectator area to keep you out of the sun or dry on those ordinary race days.  The Canteen and amenities area located directly behind the spectator area.

Spectator Area – The Hill


Another viewing area for Spectators can be found on the Southern end of the track.  You can access this by going through the pits and around the back of the track.  This area gives a great view of the back and middle straights and allows Spectators to view the fastest and slowest corners of the circuit.

Spectators get a great view of the karts as they race their way to turn 8 and slide their way to the tight turn 9, before rocketing off down the middle straight and through Harris bends.

Canteen


The canteen at Lincoln County Raceway is located about halfway along the main straight, behind the main spectator area and near race control tower.  The canteen is open on race days and is manned by volunteers to the club.  The canteen serves a great range of hot and cold foods, including sandwiches, pies, sausage rolls, steak and sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, cakes, cold drinks, tea coffee and icecreams.

Alongside the canteen is a nice open picnic area with tables and a brick bbq area.

Toilets


The toilet block at Lincoln County Raceway is located about halfway down the main straight behind the main spectator area and next to the canteen.  The block is used by competitors and spectators alike, however, on large race days, the club does supply some portaloos in the pit area for the convenience of racers.

There are male and female toilets located within the block.still allowing a good view of the racing and gives access to the mechanical breakdown lane should it be needed.

Showers


DKC recently installed a sower block at Lincoln County Raceway for the use of racers and spectators.  The shower block is fully powered and has gas hot water systems installed.  The block has two showers inside with ample area for dressing etc also provided.  The block is located on the main straight in between the canteen and toilet block directly behind the main spectator area.

Pit Crew Spectator Area


Pit crew members get a spectator area in the form of a stand located behind the impound area and next to the outgrid.  This viewing area gives a great view of the end of the middle straight, turn 14 and the approach, apex and exit of Turn 15 and onto the main straight.

This area allows pit crew members to remain close to the in and outgrids should the need arise whilst still allowing a good view of the racing and gives access to the mechanical breakdown lane should it be needed.

Competitor Pit Area


The competitor pit area at Lincoln County Raceway is large enough to hold in excess of 200 pit spaces, including trailers and vehicles.

The pit area also includes an undercover shade cloth covered pit area which is capable of housing 28 pit bays.

The pit area gives direct access to the rear of the outgrid and the exit from the ingrid and technical inspection areas..

Technical Inspection Area


In between the in and outgrid is the Technical Inspection Area.  The Technical Inspection shed houses an air compressor with two hoses outside for competitor use.  The shed also contains benches and all equipment required for scrutineers to inspect karts during an event.

Surrounding the inspection shed is an impound area capable of holding an entire 40 kart field if required.  There is also an undercover area for inspection, should the weather get nasty.

Our Scales


The scales at Lincoln County Raceway are located to the left of the ingrid near the entrance to the impound area.  The scales are raised off the ground to ensure that any size kart can fit on them.  The scales are digital with the controller being contained in the box alongside the scales, there is a large digital display making is easy for racers to see the weight of their kart.

Race Control


Halfway down the main straight is the race control tower.  The tower houses the race secretary, timing, officials secretary and commentator.  To the Northern side of the tower is the starter's tower.

Race entries are processes at the rear of the tower by the race secretary.  Timing is located at the front of the tower and provides a full view of the race track.  There is also wireless internet access within the tower allowing the timing officer to upload race results as soon as a race concludes.

The commentator area is located on the top of the tower and gives an awesome view of the entire racing circuit.

The starters tower contains all items required for the starter to control the race, including radio communications, flags and holders, lap counter including a last lap board that is able to be pushed out across the track and electronic control of the starting lights at the end of the main straight.


Stewards Room


The Stewards room and Lincoln Raceway is located directly behind the Race Control Tower.  This gives the Stewards of the meeting direct access to the race control when required.

the room is heated and airconditioned and has ample seating and tables for meetings when needed.

The room is also able to be connected wirelessly to the network in the race control tower, giving Stewards direct access to the timing and AKA system as required.
